Sean Reagan

Sean Reagan graduated from the University of Nebraska Law School in 1999. Following admission to the bar association in the Fall of ‘99, Sean began working in a small office in Lincoln, trying and second-chairing various types of cases, including jury trials for employment discrimination claims in federal court. In the fall of 2000, Sean opened his first office in Plattsmouth, focusing his practice in the areas of family law (divorce, custody, child support, etc.), criminal law (misdemeanors and felonies), and juvenile court work, mostly as a guardian ad litem.

In the summer 2003, Sean’s wife, Becki, gave birth to their first child, Nicholas. Sean moved his practice back to Lincoln in May of 2003, and entered into an office share arrangement with a group of attorneys in the Apothecary Building in Lincoln’s Haymarket District. He continues to practice out of this office and, over the years, has litigated cases in more than 21 counties throughout Nebraska. To this day, he continues to zealously represent client’s interests in many types of cases, although his focus mostly consists of family law and criminal law cases. He often says that his practice is 60% family law, 30% criminal, and 10% other (the “other” including drafting of wills and trusts, formation of corporate entities, personal injury litigation (including slip-and-falls, automobile accidents and dog bites), civil litigation, name changes and adoptions).

Sean is an active member of the Nebraska State Bar Association (NSBA), the Lincoln Bar Association (LBA), the Sarpy County Bar Association, the Omaha Bar Association (OBA), the Second Judicial District Bar Association, the American Bar Association (ABA), the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association (NCDAA), and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).

Sean is also qualified and approved by the State and the Office of Dispute Resolution to mediate cases arising under the Parenting Act (i.e. divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, etc.). This specialized service has become a necessity for people throughout the State who are involved in a family law dispute - Neb. Rev. Stat. §43-2937 provides that for all cases filed on or after July 1, 2010, parties who have not submitted to the Court a signed parenting plan within a specific amount of time shall participate in mediation.
